I own a Panasonic GH4 as my A cam and a Panasonic G7 as B cam. I’m a doc filmmaker, so I also own 2 wireless lavs. As I go further along in this filmmaking journey I realize more and more that certain gear is mostly important in order to make your life easier during production. Its not always necessary to have the latest gear or want for it. If what you own allows you to get the look you want, then keep rocking out with what you have. But if you feel like certain gear will make production days run smoother, then go spend your bucks and get it. But dont feel pressure to get new things.
I agree 100% on the equipment! If it's not in the budget exceptional work can still be created with what you have. I noticed you mentioned being a doc filmmaker and that's what I'm looking for content as well as the upcoming film festival. Would you consider joining our provider's list?
